Essex Wedding Film – Emily & Andy

Essex Wedding Film – Shot on location at St Joseph’s Church, Upminster & Stock Brook Manor, Essex;
February 2014

It was whilst standing on a wet fairway at Stock Brook Manor, as the rain lashed down and my feet felt as if they couldn’t get any wetter, that I asked Andy a question I’ve never before asked of a Groom; ‘Would you like me to go and buy you some new socks?’

Emily and Andy’s photographer; Brett Florens, had found a 5 minute window in the weather to grab some shots outside. The sun was just setting, the wind had finally stopped howling and we were looking at a few minutes of ‘non drizzle’. And so, without so much of a moan or complaint, our intrepid Bride and Groom sloshed around a wet golf course in order to get a handful of perfect shots.

This wedding was on the windiest day of the year, and after weeks of storms. The rain held out for most of the day, the odd drizzle here and there, but nothing to spoil the mood. In fact, the mood and tone of the day was full of love and laughter, even when the wind was rattling against the walls of the hotel.

Music was at the heart of this wedding, in fact when I walked into Emily & Andrew’s living room back in January for our first meeting, I knew we’d get on. That giant framed & signed Bruce Springsteen picture was the first discussion point….But they had both crafted a day that was based around their love of music and travel. The camper van, the music in the Church and the numerous mentions of Springsteen.

For the record, my favourite Bruce track is Valentine’s Day.

I really hope Emily & Andrew enjoy this film of their day.
