Essex Wedding Film – Joanne & Lee
Essex Wedding Film – Shot on location at Friern Manor, Brentwood, Essex
A wet and windy day awaited Joanne and Lee’s Wedding at Friern Manor, a venue I’d never shot at before. And things didn’t start too well for when I introduced myself at reception and said I was here to film the wedding, I was asked “Which one?”. There were, of course two weddings at the venue that day, and I spent most of the morning worrying that I was filming the set up of the wrong wedding.
Friern Manor is a really interesting venue. A complex mixture of country house and out houses, surrounding a lake and marquee. The staff on the day were excellent and couldn’t do more to help me, and I was lucky enough to be shooting, once more alongside Claudia Rose Cater, whom I first worked with at Kathryn and Michael‘s Wedding earlier this summer.
I loved putting this film together. There were so many elements that made this a lovely wedding – from Lee’s vintage Ferarri, to the photobooth, to the very touching Father and Daughter dance. But one of the stars of the day was the pianist Paul Bleach, who played during he start of the ceremony and right throughout the meal. With both classics, and contempoary covers, he soundtracked the day beautifully and it was an inspired booking by Joanne and Lee to compliment a well considered wedding.
I hope they like this film of their day.
