Essex Wedding Film – Nicky and Matt

Essex Wedding Film – Shot on location at Newland Hall, Essex
March 2014

I’ve been known to cry at some strange things. You know that Disney film ‘Cars’; the one about the talking cartoon cars? I cried at that. ‘Seabiscuit‘ about the horse? I cried at that. But I’ve never cried at a Wedding I’ve been working at. I’d like to think that my professional head is screwed on and the emotion won’t get to me.

But there was something about Matt’s speech that had me going. About 2 minutes in I was almost blubbering like a baby.

Matt’s speech was pretty emotional, he did warn from the outset that he’d cry and credit where credit is due, he did well to hold it together for about the first 25 seconds.

What a stunning day the Browns had. 20 degrees in March was a touch, a really fun service with some great music and a really well turned out venue at Newland Hall.

I also got to shoot alongside Luke Hayden who’s work I’ve admired for a long time.

I really hope Nic and Matt enjoy this film, it was a really great day and I hope I’ve been able to reflect that.

Shot with a Canon 5d Mk2, 550d and a XA10
Edited with Premiere Pro CS6
Graded with Magic Bullet
Audio mixed in Dobly with Adobe Audition
Music by Hans Zimmer, Dexter Britain and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros
